Sprint races Zolder 06/11/2025

In Zolder the qualifying went amazingly well I took pole position with a gap of 0.4 seconds.
In Race 1, I led the entire race, but near the end the driver behind me lost his brakes, so I had to move out of the way to avoid a collision. That’s why I lost P1 on the final lap.
In Race 2, I had a very bad start and dropped back to P5 on the first lap, but by the end of lap 2 I had already fought my way back to P1, and I kept the lead until the finish securing the championship.!

In qualifying, I took pole in wet conditions. In Race 1, my tires started overheating, so I dropped back to P5, but managed to fight my way back to P2 in the final laps still, I wasn’t satisfied.
Race 2 was a complete domination, winning by more than 10 seconds. Race 3 was the same story, this time taking the victory with a gap of over 25 seconds.

These results secured both championships for me the Sprint Championship and the Endurance Championship.
I can finally call myself the Dutch National Champion!

A very short race

Endurance race Zandvoort 26/10/2025

Race: DNF

I started the race in P17 in full wet conditions, and with the cold weather there was almost no grip at all. I was sliding and drifting the whole time until the end of my stint, when I got out of the car in P11. That’s when my teammate (my dad) got in and kept a good pace, until he crashed in Turn 9. The car couldn’t be repaired, so our race was over early.

In qualifying, Jordi and I set the exact same time, but since he set his lap earlier, he got P1 and I got P2. In Race 1, I finished P1 on track, but I received a penalty for going too fast under Code 60, which dropped me to P14. In Race 2, I had to make up some ground and managed to finish P4. In Race 3, I took the lead on Lap 2 and never let it go, finishing the day in P6 overall.

Back at Assen for another round of the BMW Compact Cup! In qualifying, I took pole by two-tenths of a second and secured P1 in Race 1 with a dominant performance. In Race 2, I had an amazing battle with Jordi that lasted from Lap 1 all the way to the final lap, but he just managed to get me at the end. Race 3 was another dominant runI didn’t see anyone from the start onward.

At the end of the day, I finished P1 overall, which was great for the championship.

In qualifying, Jordi and I got the exact same time for our fastest laps, which meant I had to start P2 unfortunately. In Race 1, it suddenly started raining on lap 1, which caught me out and I went into the gravel, losing some positions, but I gained them back immediately and finished P2. Race 2, I just couldn’t get past Jordi and finished in P2. In Race 3, Jordi and I were having a great battle, in the end Jordi still came out ahead, which was really frustrating but that’s racing.

In qualifying, I was on fire in both sessions and took pole for all the races! Race 1, I had an awesome battle with the #76 car at the start, but managed to pull away later on so that was P1! Race 2, I had a really bad start and dropped to P5, but I fought my way back and had an epic last-lap battle with Lukas (#71) for the win. He just edged me out, so I finished P2. Race 3, my car completely died on lap 4 and I fell back to P7, but I pushed hard and fought all the way back to take P1 again!

In qualifying, I couldn’t put a clean lap together. But in Race 1, it started raining, and I found the grip to take P1. In Race 2, the engine died on lap 1, so I had to retire. Unfortunately, that meant I had to start last in Race 3 but I was ready for a comeback. I overtook 22 cars on the first lap alone and moved into P2 on the final lap, finishing just 0.6 seconds behind P1.

It was a crazy day, but I learned a lot.

In both qualifyings, my laps weren’t the best, but I still managed to end up in a good position. Race 1, I overtook one car at the start, and since there weren’t really any overtaking opportunities after that, I finished P3. Race 2, I completely dominated and didn’t see anyone behind me the whole race! Race 3, I had a tough start and dropped to P6, then had some contact that gave me a drive-through penalty. Later on, I even got a flat tire in one of the last laps but despite all that, I still managed to finish P3, since others had issues too!

CHAOTIC RACE!

Endurance race Zandvoort 10/05/2025

Supersport class: DNF

SuperGT class: DNF

We started the race in P3 in class. During my first stint, I drove up to P1. Later, I got back in the car for my second stint, but had to switch to a different car, so I had to adapt quickly again. Despite that, I set the fastest lap 2 seconds quicker than anyone else and managed to go from 46 seconds behind P1 to 20 seconds ahead of P2 in just an hour. Unfortunately, in the final corner, the wheel broke off and our race ended there.

However, in the other car, I still won the race in class!

Amazing second weekend in the BMW Racing Cup! Topped free practice, P3 in Q1 due to traffic but bounced back with pole in Q2. Won Race 1 after a great fight from P3, controlled Race 2 from pole, and Race 3 was an intense battle with a huge gap before and after the pit stop 3 wins out of 3! Super happy with the performance and progress. Let’s keep pushing!

Great weekend in the Compact Cup at Zandvoort! Took P1 in qualifying with a 0.9s gap. In Race 1, I started from P2 and kept it clean to finish P2. Race 2 was all about pushing hard and making moves to take the win from P2. In Race 3, I started from pole and stayed in control from start to finish to grab another win. Super happy with the pace and results can’t wait for the next one!

Great debut in the BMW Racing Cup! P1 in qualifying, but a penalty due to contact put me back to P9 for Race 1 fought my way up to P5. In Race 2, I started from pole and brought it home in P1. Race 3 was another charge from P5 to P1 with great overtakes and strong pace.I’m super happy with the speed and how the weekend went. Can’t wait for the next round!

We had an amazing race, the car was good and the strategy was good until the last half an hour. We were in the lead for 90% of the race, but at the 2nd to last pitstop we got a 20 second speeding in the pits penalty and a 20 second penalty for speeding during code 60 which put us in 2nd place in our class instead of first. On the last lap my team mate also went into the gravel which lost us another place.
